Friday morning was bigger than the Coast Guard said. We went out about 30 minutes after everyone due to a Smartcraft malfunction we had to sort out. We saw honest 4-5 foot rollers with some 5 foot holes.

I believe some would call that 9-10s.

Seriously, its all in perspective.

well, i got picked on relentlessly about my claim of 6-8' from people who didnt make it out there. :grinser010:
But what do I know, The only true 8'er ive seen previously was coming out of the back of Jim Lee's carver on Grand:evilb:

I thought my eyes were deceving me but BLee confirmed my pointing out a few, honest 9 and 10 footers inshore from where we were. We caught one that seemed like we were never going to land, most of them were swells that were off our starboard side in the shallows but they were there.. Im still sore. My shoulders and back are in knots! Anyone know a good chiropractor?:-)

believe what ya want, I saw em!

Wait, wait, let me clairfy brother. The "cuts" were massive, which is par for the course because the current is generally ripping in or out. Port Everglades, Govt Cut, etc, all behave the same as the entrance we used due to depth. Those rougher parts were shallower water breaking. When I told you guys it was about to get big and to hold on, that was crossing the cuts we passed. You have to stay trimmed good, and higher than normal to prevent a stuff. However, it was so damn hot I wouldn't have minded a few sprays.

You definitely got a fun rough water experience in a cat. There was no one out there on the way home, and the way there and back was like driving a dune buggy. :sport009:

ahhh, that was what i was trying to say, just didnt know all the terminology I guess. Whatever the hell it was, it was the time of my life. It was the only time ive felt adrenaline come back in my system in years! fast is fun, high speeds are fun, turns are fun... BUT flyin and skatin in big water, thats what got my hair on end! Thanks again bro!

What a great event and venue.
So much fun seeing Jassman, Stu, Sydwaz and other old friends and meeting new one like Cashbar, David Woods and others.
Thursday night at the hotel lobby bar was a hoot. Laughed so much and drank even more.
Oh and how could I forget the "shark show" at the marina in Ferdindina Beach on Fridays lunch run..better than Seaworld.
The run offshore that morning was fun but some accounts may be like "this is 6 inches"form of measurements.
the rollers were nice with the occasional SURPRISE..5 foot hole.
One hellava weekend that will be done over and over again in years to come.:evilb:

B Lee knows how to run the big water. He is the only guy that I know that can keep up with Jim Lee with 10 foot less of a boat in big water. I wish I knew how to load video of Brandon running in the Chicago Poker Run last year.

Looks you guys had a blast. Great pics.
