Who has wireless headsets?

Does anybody have wireless headsets for boating app?

I have 4 wireless Peltor headsets from Racing Communications Inc., they work great. You can adjust the level of background noise so you can hear the engines if you like, multiple channels to choose from and they are rechargable or can work on 2-AA batteries. One of them is set up to hook up a 2-way hand held VHF radio. Here is the link.

Don't those have to be keyed to talk, or buttons pushed when you want to talk? I am looking for ones that are like the comp or pirate comm wired units, but not have to plug them into the boat.

if I recall you can set them for push to talk or for just when you talk

That is almost correct; they are voice activated or you can push to talk...no setting req'd. Since there is a background or ambient noise setting if it is too high wind nosie will effect the voice activation, so to override you simply push the button. I've used them on 2 FPC runs and they work great, and they stay on your head too.

If it ever stops raining I'll go down to the boat and look up the model number. I know it is the Peltor headset...I think that's the only one they make like that.
