Checking oil?

Witch is more correct level when checking the oil. In the water or on the trailer?

I would say on the water. The engines are positioned to be running in the water, not on the trailer. Of course I don't think there should be a difference between the two if you have the boat level on the trailer.

Tell the witch that either way will be fine.

In the water.

Pick up a mini-level commonly used for leveling RVs. (Wal-mart)
Next time you put your boat in the water, stick the level inside of a compartment on one of the side walls.

Then, when you put your boat on the trailer, you will be able to adjust your trailer's tongue stand to match when the boat is at is water level setting. You can also stick another level on your trailer at this point, and be able to set your trailer to the same setting without climbing in the boat.

I don't have a owners manual not that it probably makes a big difference but does anyones boat say to check it a certain way? Just curious.

You'll know she's a witch if she floats.
But, then again, ducks also float.
