Boat Alarm?

Has anybody ever put an alarm on their boat kinda like a car alarm?
My boat was broken in to again this time they stole my speakers out of the cockpit. Earlier this week they stole the deck out of the cabin. I guess im lucky i locked the cabin or they would have probably stolen my amps. :angry-smiley-038:

Iwas wondering if it was feasible to install a alarm with shock sensor or motion sensors. I know its not much deterent but anything is better then nothing.
Does anybody have any recommendations. I got a clifford two way with remote start in my truck but thats probably a little overkill.

Thanks
David

drop a snake or 12 in your cockpit!!!!! i bet whoever it is won't go crawling around in the dark, in YOUR boat anymore! :)

If you do get an alarn I'd go with something that also monitored the bilge. Some of them can lower your insurance

Try this out :

http://www.octilock.com/

The people who invented this alam had their boat stolen out of its slip at their vacation home at the Deleware beaches. I have not used the product personally however I know they did a lot of testing on the product before they released it to the public. I can get in touch with one of the owners of the company with any questions the website does not answer. Send me a PM if I can help out.

If you are close to your boat I have heard of people using baby monitors. :angry-smiley-038:
