You may think I'm BS-ing, but I've been with Howard Arneson is his 40' Skater at 172 mph, in 1992! At that time the kilo record at the time was held by Tom Gentry at 136 MPH. Howard told us at the time; "people don't even lie about going this fast." I always loved that saying... What a GREAT GREAT Guy Howard is!

Gerry in Knot Right will be there after some hours on the boat with the turbines in it. it did do I think 165 when it was MY WAY same motors with a cooler paint job. Now theres a guy bought the boat no power was set up for turbines but had 1200s that he put together and then put in the boat ran them for a season and a half , pulled them went to turbines and did all the work himself also did a lot of the custom paint with the painter who use to paint OLs Got to take my hat off to him the guy has a lot of TALENT GERRY YOU THE MAN:D:D:D

Howard has always been my idol. To be 80 years old and drive a boat more than twice that in mph is where I want to be if I ever reach 80.
