Default New to board

Been looking and reading a good bit on here for the last few months. This place is full of very good information. My wife and I just purchased a house on the inter-coastal water way in SC (Myrtle Beach). I've been looking real hard at a 46 outerlimits with 1075's. We love towing our boat now. (Cobalt 282) all over the place. I realize this is one really big step and will be looking into a off-shore class to help learn more about the boat. Will my 08 F450 with 4.88 rear end be able to pull this boat around. Probably a couple a trips a year of 1000+ miles. I would love to get into the poker-runs I heard everyone talk so much about on here. Thank you all very much for any help you might be able to give

Welcome. Good luck with the boat. BE VERY CAREFUL OF THE INFAMOUS "ROCK PILE" AREA OF THE ICW.

The best boating is done north of the Little River swing bridge. Also be careful who you get to work on the boat.

Thanks guys. I'm really looking forward to getting into the sport. I just didn't know if I was going to be really stressed pulling that boat or if it woudl follow nice like it was not even back there. (I'm sure with bopat and trailer coming nean 15K) I'll fill it I just dont want to be worried and stressed on long trips. that kind of pulling can really tire you out

Thanks again. By the way is there anything I should know about that brand or that boat to watch out for
What kind of speed should I see with that set-up

Good questions.

I would start a tread in the Outerlimits forum and ask those guys.
