The funny thing is, Chris may be free with his opinion and knowledge, to a proverbial somebody's discontent I suppose..... but he is also liberal with his time and talents. One of the few people on OSO who will proactively help someone. Not wait to be asked, but ask to help. First to PM somebody and say: "I could help. I have that equipment." A few years ago I had the chance to meet him and I am glad that I did. He's good people. For a big meanie.

Boy.......that sounds A LOT like Fred Cecil doesn't it? The only problem with Fred was that he just couldn't find the roll of packing tape to close the boxes of parts for shipping, and he also couldn't balance his checking account very well.......right? :D :D

This thread makes me remember why I love being a part of this group. I havent meet three fourths of you but I know most people on here are avid boaters that I trust have the same interest as me. Great thread.

Anyway, I am glad that he brought it back. It brought back a lot of memories.

Since my post that Nort quoted, Chris has started an entire forum for his friends, he has given thousands to charity, He even took a day off of work and met me at 3am so he could drive 500 miles and then tow my boat back because I didn't have enough tow rig.

Then he arranged for a great cam builder to do my cams and ordered me new AFR heads and then he paid for it and let me pay him back later. Then he brought the parts to a poker run for me.

That's just since my post. :D

I am so sorry that I didnt know earlier that you guys there in Miami have only 1 trailer for all the boaters of Miami! If I only knew earlier I would have shipped one over from Europe because we have here even more than one unused trailer!

Wow, I can’t believe how far this thread kept going. I actually had sent Chris an email saying we decided not to sell the trailer and was sorry for any inconvenience. I had never once traded phone calls with him nor do I know him so thought it was a pretty simple sorry we are keeping are trailer and move on, Nope! I got this email from Chris basically saying he would ruin my reputation on OSO unless I titled a thread in the general section stating I screwed him.

I was focused on the rebuild of our 24 Cigarette Firefox in memory of my brother and so I didn’t want him to ruin anything I did what he asked.

Now I’m focused on my cousins 2011 38TG covergirl setup with 600’s and yes Lip-Ship Edition that we are picking up this weekend in MIAMI!

For the record, cigracing1 helped me aquire my 91 Cafe. Everything he told me over emails and pm's was true. I had the pleasure of meeting him when I picked my boat up and I also got to check out his fantastic Cig Firefox. He also went out of his way to arrange lodging and entertainment while we were there. A stand up guy! :cool:

I deleted my original “firefox” thread because I wasn’t happy with OSO moderators who new Chris was bullying people around but then that wasn’t fair to the people who enjoyed my thread and me rebuilding by boat in memory of my brother.
