I bought the old Hull #3 Cigarette 24 from Charlie McCarthy. The boat is in Tampa. I was going to buy a trailer and pick the boat up the week of the Aronow race- just grab it on the way back. This trailer came up and was in Miami- but was still needed until Myco delivered his new trailer (the Firefox resto at LipShip). Now charlie needs the room and the boat is in the way. and I've moved into the part of my calendar- I'm into commitments that I can't break to go and get the boat- it's just bad timing all around.

And it sucks that I missed the Aronow race.

might seem kinda random, but i remember a couple months ago glassdave posting a thread about some metal tube in your cigarette, and asking if anybody knew what it was. did you guys ever figure it out?

After stripping the boat bare, it seems like it had something to do with a fuel tank or some other tank mounted under the back seat. The seat was cut out, the opening above the tank was cut away and there was some random bits of plumbing in there. What's weird is there's only room for maybe a 10 gallon tank so gasoline probably wasn't what they went to all that effort for. Maybe some nitrous setups- who knows?
