My cousin has a home there and teaches at the grade school. I am pretty sure that the island raises most of its revenue one ticket at a time. But hey... at least this year you can drink the water.
I dont think its nearly as crazy as it use to be. its pretty much just about right if you are looking for a party. Best time at the docks is after the last ferry leaves. its funny watching the people that got stuck there trying to weigh out there options (drunk).

foods pretty good at the Boardwalk and several other places out there to

It seems that "B" dock has been a tad bit quieter than it used to and yes I have heard the Bay is not doing as well this year. If you want a reserved dock to the West call Jim Drushel at 419-285-3318 Jim will take care of your group has free beer on Friday + Coffee and doughnuts in the morning.

Hope this helps
I trust we'll see you at the Casino Sunday for church?

Ditto Scott as far as under 40 and bacherlor party. PIB is the way to go. They really should experience it at least once!

has anyone ever stayed somewhere other than on their boat over the weekend? Yes, most of us are under 30 and like to have a good time, but not to crazy, and no one in our group (around 10) has been there before so really looking forward to it. NOt sure of all the logistics yet, we are coming from north of Detroit and debating on puttin in somewhere south of Detroit and heading accross, that way we get a little ride in since it sounds like once your there your kind of stuck. Thanks for all the replys. MIKE

Back in the day before I met Rob, you can stay on the island, but plan on spending at least $250/night and most require a two night minimum.

You can take the Jet Express back to the mainland and stay at a hotel there, not sure of the cost at the hotel. Jet is going to cost you $24 each way I believe.

If you are in a group of 4 boats and you can get all 4 in the same raft up. Then the public docks will be OK. If I cant get in raft up with my own friends I dont tie up and there is no guarantee that you will be able to do that. There have been many occasions that I have tied up to other high end offshores only to find that the captain and crew are just as fuking stupid and inconsiderate as the rest of the yahoos on the island.

PIB is something everybody should see at least once, I strongly reccomend some of the more private docking places mentioned above. If your going to be in that neck of the woods then you may as well check out Kelleys Island. Give us a heads up when your coming, there are about a dozzen of us there on any given weekend. www.islandpirates.net
