Trouble posting pics-
 

Is anyone else having trouble uploading pics? I have resized, changed formats, tried uploading from photobucket, nothing works. Let me know if I am the only one-

yes when I try and down load a jpeg, it tells me invalid tag,I think they reset the size limit of the pick to a smaller pick,, I emailed them on I was trying to load some small 3-4 meg size for the UC section, they said just use Youtube:rolleyes:
This was the purpose Steve made it where we could down load bigger vids like Boatfreaks

i have trouble also. Tried getting support from OSO and i think this must be supported by 80 year old retirees ( if they were young they would know how to fix it) and of course they are not having a problem, I am the one with the problem. Lame support. If you have better luck please let me know.

Yep, tried posting a few jpegs, invalid file.
This sucks.
Posting goofy pics is 1/2 the fun of this place.

I tried posting some more picks ,even some small jpeg ones ,its showing me the same invalid file, I change it to jpeg and jpg, no luck. Also tried some small videos,the larger videos I guess they time out or they change the settings so as to not use there bandwidth.

It wouldnt even let me post this pick below as small of a file as it is:(so I hosted it on imageshack which is a pain in the ass,

Its not worth going to all this trouble trying to post picks and vids anymore,Even in the UC section

Thanks Rob- what a pain in the a$s. This is a big problem- 99 percent of why I come to this place is to see what you have posted, and if you stop posting what's the point?:(

I watch what other people post also, and if there having probs posting picks prudent to there conversation,I E fixing something or just giving advise,the inconvenience is not worth it:(I guess Im all alone her trying ti give advice or Even advice?

We are used to immediate assistance from Steve.... I too feel your pain, I have some pictures I'd like to post but IB is open Monday - Friday 9 to 5 PST. Be sure that this will be on the top of my list for my Monday phone call to IB :(

They were notified on a weekday, during working hours and didnt respond ... or ignored it ... whatever. Either way .... not good.

You know ... they had a handful of us that were saying it will be fine, wait and see, nothing will change if we dont change, blah blah blah .... I didnt expect them to make the board non user friendly :rolleyes:

Someone did...it's called Boatfreaks.

Please try posting pictures again and let us know if there are any further issues. We have changed a configuration which should solve the problems.

However, please note that there are still upload limits to attachments. These limits are mentioned on the attachment upload window.

The attachment size did not have anything to do with the problem of uploading a pick,I even tried uploading a avatar pick ,which is small ,it also wouldn't.Looks like ya got the upload of pictures fixed ,Thanks:D

But the video uploading anything between 3 and 16mb on a wmv file it will not load,I get a invalid note

Please try again and let me know if you have any issues. By the way, 16MB is going to be way too big. We can capped the max filesize for wmv files to 8.58 MB. No attachments currently sitting on the server were over 8 MB. Those on a slower connection, please remember that you may not be able to upload larger files since we do not allow scripts to run longer than necessary. That way, the server is not bogged down. But this is nothing different from the setup on the old server. But if you have a fast connection and big files under the limits, attach away.

This site is turning into a joke. Id hate to add up all the fees we have all paid into someones checkbook. I realize that everybusiness has ovehead, but if they can't afford to pay tech support then it's time to give up.

beside the posting pick problems. how many of you had problems just logging on this past weekend?
