I Havent Ridden In A Daytona, But Heard They Need Tabs To Keep From Porpoising. We Didnt Need Them In The Motion Or The Skater. Dont Think The Eliminator Runs As Fast As Either Also
I Wouldnt Buy A Cat With A Center Pod Myself

How did the 36 Spectre ride in the 50-70 range compared to a Daytona that has the center pod? Most of my boating is done on moderate lake chop.

I have a 377 Talon with the center pod, it is absolutely the way to go on a big lake. It can handle some pretty big chop and dosen't have all of the bucking and porpoising problems of cats w/o the center pod.

Oh, one more thing. No tunnel tab, No trim tabs... just trim on the drives, set them and go. Easy to drive.

What are you expecting to run then?

Do you know of any 26's that will keep up with that?:ernaehrung004:

You'll have to be near the fastest single engine cat then right?:drink:

Hope to hit in the upper 130's:p and hell if the MMW drive blows up I will be going fast enough to coast into the landing:eek:

Nice looking boat but not enough motor and graphics are too simple for my taste,,,,,looking to get something I like from the start this time.

I owned a 32 Spectre w/ twin Imor 625's. Great all around performer. Gets on plain easy, no hop or porpoise, tunnel no pod excellent handling, reliable power etc, etc. I traded up for the Skater & a little more power b/c I wanted something a little more Poker Run outfitted. The 32 isn't really 32' of running surface but incorporates all the great things Spectre built in their 30's & 36's into one package.

Lake Cumberland has the boat & I'm sure randy would take care of you.

my 28 eliminator doesn't propise no tabs on the boat. Though I heard the 30 and 33 do, I only have small power..twin 496 hos.

Like most have said, the center pod boat will ride much better below 100 or so than a true cat. They are great for rivers and lakes which do not get over 3ft seas. As for speed, hp for hp, size to size, you might be suprised at how fast a center pod boat will run. The Revolution bottom is basically a Talon, as for most west coast boats with a center pod. Tnd there are some very fast Talons around. My Advantage is one of the exceptions. It's hull is very different. If I were to run in the ocean or great lakes mostly, I would go with a true cat. Otherwise I'd stick with the center pod boat, It simply gives a better ride.
