Saturday I might buy a 29 baja outlaw, only problem is, The boat sits on a trailer in> Jackson Mississippi. I live in Philadelphia,Pa. about 1,125 miles away. I was quoted a price of $1.75 per mile. I may just drive there and get it myself save a few $$ any haulers out here? Even if we meet half way ? Say about south of the border?

$1.75 seem a little high ... I had my boat hauled from northern Florida to Los Angeles in 1999 and the rate was $1.00/mi ... I called one of the transporters listed in the Yacht Trader.

How does it work Cig? they just back it up on a trailer and drop it off at your front door? :cool:

CAPO71, Because the boat is on a trailer the rate may be higher.Most guys have their own trailers and prefer to haul on them. Pulling someone elses trailer does present many problems,i.e; tires,bearings,brakes,registration,insurance. Dont just take the cheapest hauler. Check them out.If there is a boatyard nearby have a regular dropframe trailer haul it. Just have the boatyard load it, with a forklift with boat on trailer.Make arraingements near you to have it lifted off.Or just go get it yourself.Should be an easy haul. Good Luck, Mark B.

I bought a new trailer in Florida and had it towed here by a contracted driver with his own truck. He had a Dodge 1 ton deisel. The broker carried the insurance. The trailer being new probably helped with the rate.
