Handicapping Website Covers Offshore Racing ?

Hi all,

I just got word that a professional sports handicapping website which covers the typical baseball, basketball, football etc will also be covering OFFSHORE POWERBOAT RACING. They're expecting to receive thousands of visitors a month where they'll be providing sports picks to gamblers all over the nation... It's my understanding they're covering OSS, OPA, SBI, Class 1, and P1 over in europe.

Do you know what this means? They're going to be covering our sport and open the eyes to thousands of sports enthusiasts that most have probably never even heard of our kick as$ sport of racing.

I'm interested to see where it goes and see who they're picking. I've already signed up for their free picks.

Website is www.HatePicks.com (check it out)

What are your thoughts?

That's what I was thinking....
Sort of like the "Check out this cool new NASCAR site" Which was connected to the energy drink site...

Yes I designed it for these guys. They're huge handicappers that we were fortunate enough to work with. Of course we talked them into adding an Offshore Racing section since that's the world we live in.

And bluellama... The NASCAR site blake and I created will be in Forbes Magazine July 22nd so make sure you pick up a copy. Thanks for taking interest in Ron Ripple... the website has taken off and is getting worldwide recognition.

The energy drink website we created a year ago that you mention is still up and running. I'm glad you remember that website as well so make sure you spread the word.

OffshoreOnly is a huge family of people and we always appreciate the support and interaction with everyone when we build a website we're proud of. In this case, we're happy we were able to get Offshore Powerboat racing on a website where a lot of fans will be visiting.

Thanks again,

Brock

Hmmm, I bet JBS would take some of that action in Kenner.

Brock

Congrats on the recognition from Forbes, and I do still look at the energy drink website, but the shipping/taxes to Canada kill the great savings it offers.

How does a handicapping service who has no experience in offshore racing sell themselves as experts in the field? If you had to talk them into adding it, then they haven't done it before. Isn't the reason one uses a handicapping service because they have a proven track record in the sports they provide services on?

I'm not trying to crap in your oatmeal, I'm just curious as to how it will work.

BlakeandBrock 07-14-2008 07:06 PM

Bluellama message me with your favorite energy drink and I'll see what we can work out.

JayHawk... You've got a good point. It's three guys who have handicapping expertise but as you were saying they don't have the track record in offshore racing.

The whole point of getting Offshore Powerboat racing onto their website was to help get more attention to the sport. If we get offshore racing in front of more people, it will only grow the sport. The type of people who visit handicapping websites are the true die hard fans...

To answer your question I honestly don't know exactly how they plan on doing it. They haven't worked out the details yet but they're definitely looking into it and it's only going to help the sport so I'm excited they even listened to me.

On a joking note: I bet I'd be 70% accurate going into the next OSS race for picking winners.

I think its pretty cool!!! Any inside info on the next winner in SVL?
