The reason is that I get more chances to read the board while at work than I do at home. My company has an internet use policy that has absolutely no tolerance for porn pictures. They monitor all our computers on a daily basis. I can be fired for going to any site that contains porn pics. Several people in the past have been fired for just that reason. My job is more important to me than this place.

If you guys continue with that practice, I'll have to go too.
It's not something I want to do, but one I'll have to do.

I'm in the same situation that you are.I think that if more people speak up, maybe something will be done about it. I sure hope so!

I set my account to NOT load any pictures.

They show up as a link, only alpha-numeric title of the picture or file. I also toggled the avators off also. The little chicky next to the "store" link is conspicuously shown alway on my screen however :eek:

Same thing here, Uncle Lockheed has ZERO tolerance for porn, and I try not to open threads that MIGHT contain that stuff, BUT I have a couple of times opened them by mistake, and BAM, there I am worrying about the www police showing up @ my desk!!:(

I didn't think of doing that, but it won't help if our MIS dept is checking what sites we go to.

With my company it doesn't care if there are links to those sites but if the pics are located on the site I'm logged onto then I can be in trouble.

Iggy - ABSOLUTELY! Almost everyone checks the board from work and most of us have the same problem. At the very least, please put a warning on a post so we don't open it. Thanks!

Guys, I think a lot of us are in that situation. I almost never log in from home. So if it's always from work I can't have the porn and foul language or it could be my job some day!:mad:

I second that.

Same situation. If our censors don't like a site, we get an "evil eye" screen saying that access to the site is prohibited and attempts to access it will be logged. I used to get that with the original OSO. I do not want to have that happen again.
