Best "glue" for hatch mirror?
 

What is the best product to reglue the mirror to the inside of the hatch. ?
Hatch is standard gelcoat finish on the bottom/inside.
Mirror is typ. plastic with gray back.

Do you need a few screws or rivets to hold the mirror in place? What do you mean when you say "sprayed with tap water?"

3m emblem adhesive tape (2 sided tape). I put the hatch mirror (acrylic) on my 31ss in 1998, spent all its time in Lake Ontario and now Lake Erie. It's still there with no problems.

I would be concerned that anything other than double-sided tape would screw up the mirror coating on the back side of the acrylic. The proper double-sided tape will do the trick.

I used 3M automotive double sided tape and it has worked great for 3 years.
