Hell, I'm seeing 40% chance at worst during the Thursday - Sunday stretch, and more like 30% most of the time. That's a normal summer weekend along the Gulf Coast. Granted, I've got a lot shorter tow than some but 40% shot of rain ain't keeping me home!!!:ernaehrung004::drink::ernaehrung004:

I live here and i never trust the weather man, I've seen days where they said 10% chance of rain and it rains all freaking day , then sometimes they say its raining - not a cloud in the sky, then somedays pouring down rain with sunshine not a single cloud. Its a freaking coin toss around here.

That's a good question redline. We usually stop at the Oasis truck stop in Alabama. The trucks are usually due for fuel about then so we go ahead and gas the boats too since it's only another hour and a half or so to the beach. However, I'm sure we're going to need to refuel at least once while we're there so...

So y'all usually tow empty and gas up over there? I was going to fuel up in Hammond just because I know the Mobil truck stop there has cheap prices and I get a discount on Exxon gas. Figured that was easier than trying to find an Exxon I can get the boat into down the road.

Fyi, Dominoes delivers until 12pm thank goodness, but i could not find a hooker and liquor delivery service in the yellow pages. Guess i will have to do it the old fashion way...

Jmeng, yeah, we usually tow empty (empty as possible anyway). Hell, that'a another 1400lbs or so that I don't have to drag around. Don't know what your boat holds but it's up to you.

The reason we stop at the Oasis is it's a truck stop and easy to manueuver around. Once you get into Destin most gas stations are a little tight for me to get into. Crew cab dually and 45' of trailer makes for an interesting ride around town!!!:cool:

Just got word gas prices on the road in Destin are in the $3.60s so I guess we'll hold off on filling the boat up. I get about .30/gal discount at Exxon or Mobil so we'll just hope we can find one to squeeze into. That'll save us a 1000+ lbs plus 30 minutes or so in the morning.
