The commander was a bowrider between 21 & 24 feet.
We were heading from below Badenochs to the Moovalya Keys and I was in my 20.8 tunnell with a 500HP 406 racing an 18 foot jet boat with a blown 440 mopar mill in it.
I had a chick with me.
He had a chick with him.
The guy in the commander was a buddy of the guy in the jetboat and was upriver from us on a walkie talkie when the race started. We were closing on him fast and we all hit a big set of rollers. The guy in the jetboat and I were in the upper 80' passing him at around 60-65 and we hit it....
The launch was hard enough to split the commanders upper and lower by 4 fingers at the front and you could see screws hanging out - nasty.

Thanks again, just got off the phone with Matt (commander112) outstanding guy!. After talking to him the craftsmanship of the boat isn't my main worry now. It's what has happend to it since he sold it. The 2nd owner wasn't exactly friendly to it.
I just don't know if I feel like exhausting myself and money to get the boat back to its glory and 125mph capabilities. I will need to do some thinking about it over some beers tonight! LOL

I know this is an old thread, but I'm looking at the Kachina Shadow 30' with a 500efi. I took a test ride and thought it handled well in rough water. Someone on hear said he had 2 and didn't like them. I would like to know why?
Also looking at the magic and advantage 28-32' mid cabin open bow boats. We mainly do river and lake riding but hit a few poker runs each year. Trying to stay under $60k. Any feedback is great
Thanks

Hi Derrickc,
I will have our new twin step Pantera 28' with recessed hull sides in the water real soon. 1st boat powered by a single 525 EFI Merc. This new 28' will be available soon since it is being custom built for our dealer in the North East.If you are interested in a rough water boat shoot me an email at [email protected]
Transportation to the West Coast is no problem.
We also just did new cockpit dashes for our 28' model.

I'm looking at both V and cat. 1 or 2 engines is fine. But if 1 engine does 60mph I don't see the need for 2. I just sold my 22' scarab with a 454. The 30' shadow felt way more powerful.
