Really all this damage
from the boat lift cable failing???

I was just checking my cables yesterday thinking how long do they last?
|
well my dad is a boat hoist installer (also builds docks and drives pilings) and the cable life all depends on what weight boat and what size cable, fraying is not a good sign.

Yea, I've seen some crazy stuff from lift failures. I had a 61' Hatteras MY shift while my guys were lifting it and had to take a sawsall to it so I could stop the deck from seperating from the hull inch by inch.
The sound of the fiberglass splitting was the eeriest thing I've ever heard. |
I'd think the motors alone would be worth well over $3,800.
|
 This stuff always freaks me out. I have my lift checked and winterized every year.

Looks the bottom of a canoe. Maybe the strakes fell off too?
|
Does seem like alot of damage from lift failure.
|
I wonder if the pics are from 2006
