Noob Question ! Need some insight........

We have had a 253 convincor for 3 years now and love it. we are on the st. lawrence sea way and lake ontario 99% of the time with it and it gets super rough here as the wind is usually blowing out of the west right up the river. It handles great and goes through the chop nice, 4 foot rollers get to be a little much though with this size boat. With a 502 mag we top out around 70 and it doesn't burn a ton of gas either when you are cruising, cruises nice around 40-45mph. Its a very well made boat and plenty of room to sleep down below with a large bed and two couches that fold into another smaller lower bed. Its a little wider than the 251 convincor so it has a little more cockpit space, but with the narrower beam i would immagine the 251 might ride a little smoother. let me know if you have any questions on this rig, i would be happy to answer them for you.

Stay away from the 24's if you're going on Lake MI a lot. Go with 26-30. I test drove a 24 on Lake Mi years ago and got the snot beat out of me. The water wasn't that rough. My 25 Baja was much smoother. The 31's ride awesome, but probably won't find one that low of a price. 24 would work, but you'll be on inland lakes much more than the big one.
