Default Headed to LOTO, Rock Harbor or Lake View?

We are a bit late in making reservations for the Shoot Out. Looks like hotels with dock space are pretty slim.

Anyone familiar with Rock Harbor? How about the Lake View? Any other suggestions?

Thanks!

Kurt

We found a Ledges condo on www.vrbo.com just last week. There's probably still some available. It's a pretty good drive to the shootout from there, but not awful.

I am staying at Park View though..I would rather be closer to party cove and Dog Days..

Check VRBO there should be tons of units available. As far as distance is concerned I would venture to guess that most OSO'ers have boats that cruise in 50+ MPH arena so everything is pretty darned close when you think about it that way.

The problem will be slip size for Biggus. He will need a 36-40 slip and most of the reasonably priced rental condo's will only have 24-32' slips.

Lakeview is a 25 mile boat ride to Capt Ron's, but is probaly less than 10 miles away by land. Not sure where Rock Harbor is.

Lakeview is a great place...VERY reasonably priced. It's kind of a rustic setting, and getting there is not particularly fun considering the road is extremely winding and hilly, but Shawnee Bend has a very nice launch ramp. Only issue is trailer storage...not really very much. The longest slip they have is 30', but you will back in anyway....nbd.

I'm not sure what kind of place it is, but the Summerset Inn & Villas had one 40' slip left yesterday. It is basically walking distance (bout 1/4 mile I think) to Dog Days.
