Black/White Cigarette
I was staying at the Sanibel Harbour Resort and Spa this weekend for the Formula Dealers Conference and noticed a Black Cigarette with white deck and what appeared to be a white racing number near the bow. I couldn't quite make out the number from my room but the boat looked real nice running by the hotel. Anyone know this boat? It appeared to be a TG, but I couldn't tell for sure from my angle and distance. Seemed to have nice power from the sound and the speed. Any pictures?

sounds like a playboy.

I'm guessing it was US Muscle. Beautifully restored TG.

I was tryin out the new cam/lens. Here are some results from the pier.
The first picture isn't too remarkable unless you factor in the distance- she was more than a quarter mile away. |
One more... looking south toward the Lani Kai and the weekend flotilla.

1. That is one sweet 38flatdeck.
2. A bit OT, but jayboat, what DSLR do you like and what you recommend? Many a Digcam, 1 canon SLR, and use Photoshop. Looking to get DSLR. THX |
That's awesome how you can anchor your boat right off the beach like that. I wish they allowed that at my local beach.:drink:

That is definitely one of the coolest things about FMB. The water is always so calm it makes it possible just about every day, at least every time I've ever been there. Always a lot of action at the Lani Kai.
Stormrider- I like Nikon stuff. These were taken with a D300 and an 80-400 zoom. I can't imagine life without Photoshop. :drink: |
I think the "results" are outstanding! :evilb:

I just took a look at Nikonusa.com and that D300 is one hell of a nice camera, so is that D3.

I've been amazed by this thing to say the least, and I am still learning how to use it. Some very advanced technology- especially with the way it interprets shadows. Lots of ways to adjust control- filter effects, white balance etc, and the autofocus system is unreal- 51 sensor points that can be individually programmed, or you can set it to use 1, 9, 21 or all of them. The D300 has the same internals as the D3, just not as much processing power. I'd love to have a D3, but no way I can justify five grand right now.
