Another dumb boating question
Maybe dumb but I'd rather ask than make a post of a phuck up cause I didnt ask.
When I see boats beached, nose in and people hanging out how do you not get the boat stuck there? What prevents you from looking like a tool when tide is going out? My thougts are this, your always with the boat and naturaly give it a tug now and then to make sure its free, if its not ya have a few people stand on hatch and get it out a bit? Sorry if it sounds stupid but I'd rather ask than Phuck up:party-smiley-004: |
If the tide is going out than that is something that you have to take into account. But if the beach drops off fast than more than likely you can just power off.

I don't know we boat on a lake:p

You watch it and adjust as needed if needed. Tide swings take several hours so you often don't stay long enough for it to drop that much. Normally with me I drop 2 anchors and stay just off the beach.

Drive on, drive off. Generally when beaching, the water at the drives is about 5' deep.

Tidal ranges also vary a lot from location to location. Some places are only a few inches, and others over 30 feet (yes, 30!).
