Which prop is faster, Polished or dull fin.
Same prop. Which is faster ? a polished finish or dull, brushed finish.??

The difference would be so minute, you'd never notice it.

Agree w/ Downtown

Polished on the back side of the blade, matte finished on the cup side. I have also tried to alternate between polish then matte finish from one blade to the next. :drink:

Thanks Cig.. good reading.. I guess I'll start "scratching" :)
But.. here's my reasons for the question. Satin props may be a ted faster, but... corrodes faster. Polished will withstand corrosion a bit better. I got two sets. Polished and Satin. I'll keep the Satin on for short rides and will put on the Polished for overnighters. THe satin set corroded a bit at Sarasota, (overnight in the water) so I was thinking polishing. But now.. I'll just buff them out and give them a nice "Satin" finish. |
