There was a company called Florida Tank and Marine that bought all the old molds from company's like wellcraft and donzi ect; they stored the molds and would make the tank's and windshields aftermarket ,, located in Mimia I think ,, been 10 yrs since I used them ,,, they might still be out there !! Anyone ?"

Scarab 29
While we do the Scarab 22 the 29' seems to have a framed windshield. We haven't had much luck with the framed one because if you take the frame off the boat and make the windshield it never seems to sit right. If you have the old one in any condition (even in pieces) we can duplicate it.

Ed's Plastic in Michigan does nice work, they just did a windshield for my boy's 1985 Larsen Senza.

Just went through this. Take the one out of the opposite side and take it to a glass shop. They can either cut you a piece of laminated glass right there (same as windshield glass), or use yours as a pattern and order you a tempered glass and 2-3 weeks to come in. If they can't go to another glass shop that knows what they are doing. The laminated will be a bit thicker but will fit with a little massaging and some soap on the rubber to help it.
If its the curved glass piece that may be a bit more difficult. I know there are companies that do it but you may have to call around a little bit more to local glass shops to find one that has a source. |
