Might was well try and get these posts back up. The 302 formula was a '79, which needed a lot of work. Finally ended up re-powered, graphics, dash, steering. Well worth the time effort and money. We spent every available weekend on that boat. Handled Lake Michigan (despite my occassional screams) from South Haven MI to Michigan City in a real sloppy 6-8s.

Price (used), looks, speed, quaility, trailerability. I wanted to go as fast, as big and still be able to afford storage, gas and tow with my Expedition. I Couldn't be happier than where I'm at in this very expensive hobby!

Wally, That is a great looking boat. I bet you get a lot of looks on the water. Nice paint work.

I was out fishing one day, and a boat went blistering by me in some rather nasty chop. I noticed how smoothe it was rididng. When we got to the dock, I saw it was a Formula 206 LS. I wanted something about that size, so when I found the Formula 20 SC, I bought it. I think it is the same hull as the 206, and for a 20 foot boat, I don't think you could ask for a smoother ride. Now, if I could just get some SPEED out of it! See my post under the tech section under "prop slip".

ClassCig38, Bite your tongue!! Its gonna miss us! (oh man am i praying it misses us!!! )

DONZIMAN2, the blue and white are paint/gel All the yellow and lettering are all STICKER! I go get that alot though...people thinking its paint! And it does attract ALOT of attention! Especially with the women when they read the saying on the back Transom......"Have Fun Stay Single" i dont know why but the gals seem to love it!

I looked at, and took rides on alot of boats. I wanted room, speed, ride, and lots of convieniences, and a one of a kind look. The more I looked at price vs what you get for custom graphics It lead me to "in the mold" gel coat graphics, which turned me on to west coast boats, toured eliminator, advantage, & nordic, while in Havasu, and all of the above had top notch rigging, and gel work, and fit and finish, and I really liked the 32 advantage for the 4 bolster cockpit, and big 6 case cooler built in to the side gunnel. I rode on alot of 30-35 ft boats and the ride in the advantage was flat and smooth. I looked at fountian, but didn't like the lack of space aboard, and there are a ton of them here, and the cost of vacumm bagging, and custom graphics was outrageous. Advantage vacuum bags the hulls standard, and custom graphics, custom interior, and custom matching leather cabins are standard too, I felt It was bang for the buck the best thing ouy there. Full length bottom, a designed step hull, not a copy, or trial and error work in progress design. The designer Gary Furgeson was awesome to talk to, as well as Harry Christiansen (sp). Their facility, and ability to do anything you wanted custom was really was impressive, and the didn't charge any extra $$ for the things I changed. A wide beam, room to work on anything under the hatch, battery storage under the floor, room for 6 hugh bumpers, and a ski locker under the floor, just everything on the boat is well thought out. I run 80-81mph and the best I've seen was 83.7 with bravo 30p 4 blades thru 1.5's aand stock 502 mags. I've had the boat 3 years and I cant complain about anything but a burned out bulb on a guage, and a broken motor mount, which was taken care of instantly, I brought it in to the marina sunday night, and friday had it back with fabricated offshore mounts done locally and advantage picked up the whole tab. Then they came out with the 40 and thats the next hull I will buy as a blank, and power myself. Can you tell I really like my boat?? I do like the new ts cigarette's though, but who doesn't, well everything but the price!!
