I would have to agree. Besides that nordic is at least 8k overpriced.

You are missing the exact point of my original question. I stated what the BOOK is! I KNOW THE VALUE OF THE BOAT! (what you are saying I don't know by your statement)

I WAS ASKING what to OFFER on the boat! OFFERING A PRICE ON A PURCHASE OF A BOAT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH ME INSURING CLIENTS BOATS.

I do think the tone and the statement you said is absolutly RUDE and uncalled for. My clients here on OSO can attest to my knowledge of my industry and that i know plenty more about insurance on boats than most boat owners do...

I am soooo sorry that I don't know a ton about being a boat BUYER. BUYING a boat and being an INSURANCE AGENT have absolutly NOTHING to do with one another. I know the systematic process and steps needed to purchase (which is all i need to know for insurance), but that isn't what I'm talking about.

Apparently on OSO there are such things as a DUMB question and I do take offense to your comment because your statement doesn't make ANY sense. If you read the original question right then you wouldn't have even made your statement.

I would appreciate if you drop your comment and not respond. These guys are helping me, I don't need someone on here when I am asking for help to belittle me or judge me based on my boat buying abilities or inabilities, they have nothing to do with how good of an insurance agent I am.

Just curious... do you have every single value of every single boat ever made in the US memorized... i sure as heck don't... does that make me a bad agent?

Take it easy. My tone wasn't rude. Maybe you didn't like my question that made perfect sense. I'm starting the other thread so it can be addressed there.

And, for the record, I'll bet I can get very close to any boat value on my first shot whether it's a 1974 Hatteras MY or a 97 Top Gun. Look in the first couple pages of a NADA boat price guide and you might find my name . Off to start a new thread

I have owned 1 Advantage and my father has owned 3. They are awesome West Coast Boats.
I do like the look of both of those boats!

Then my hats off to you DollaBill for knowing all of those values, that's fantastic. I too can say ok... a 2009 43 DONZI is around $500 + but there are some boats, like the West Coast boats that I couldn't ramble off without looking them up. Guess that is just something I will need to work on. I am not trying to fight with you but I just didn't think it was right that you go right to cutting me down without knowing or ever talking to me on the phone. I know my product, I know the boats I am insuring and that's that.

IMO the boats that I have linked to are better boats than the ones that you originally showed. There are other brands that are equal to the ones that I showed. But I think for a 25 ft boat in the <40k price range that are "newish" those are some of the best.

Last, did you see the price? You just can't touch a 29 ft boat with those hours with a decent merc package like the HO for that kind of money. Some drywall screws in non critical places are probably ok for $20K less money.

So, I think Cheetah can be a good buy if you get a good price, and get it surveyed and really look it over to make sure it is one of the nicer jobs. This isn't one that is "overpowered" and beat itself up either. If it is a good one, I'd still take it over the other 2 she's looking at. Like Chris has said, by as new as you can, and I have always heard buy as big as you can as well.

It's not anywhere as nice as compared to your ride, (I think you have the Skater Trident rigged/painted?? Still waiting to see finished pics somewhere if that is it?), but there really aren't many that are.

I don't want to come across if I was trying to compare it to my Skater. I'm sure there are alot of people who love them and they work great.

My Skater is 100% the sweetest boat I have owned. I have literally replaced 99% percent of the mechanicals and it runs on rails............the paint on the other hand.........I think Cheetah has it beat.
