Will this trailer fit under my boat?

Does anyone know if this trailer will support the steps on my boat? 2000 Powerquest 380 Avenger. If not how big of a deal is it to redo it to make it fit?

Here's the trailer.

I think your in good shape with it.
Maybe have to cut down the rear bunks a little ,because the step on it is higher then yours.

Thanks devil, I found out the trailer was built for a Hustler 388Slingshot. Anybody know if it's the same or similar to my powerquest? I don't mind making a few minor adjustments but don't want to rebuild it either.

Thats a nice trailer, was probably twice the asking price new. It would probably be worth paying to have the bunks adjusted to your PQ- - Good luck

I put a message into a friend of mine. He had a steel trailer under a 38 Top Gun that was completely redone; paint, LED lights, wiring, running gear; the works. His boat is a straight bottom. All you would probably need to do is double or triple a couple of the rear most bunks for adequate step support.

I don't know if he sold it or not, but I'll find out.

The factory trailer for my Formula 382 is rated at 20,000#. I figure that I am near 15K loaded & fueled. Your boat may be a little lighter but do you really want to be that close to the max limit of the trailer?

I figure my boat with a full load of fuel is right at 11,000. Thanks for the replies, not the ideal trailer, but seems like a good price and it's in good shape. It's 1/3 the price I've been quoted for new.

I was wondering how two 38' boats could be 1 1/2 tons different when I realized my calculation included the trailer at 2600#. So your trailer might be a little light. Check the axels to make sure they can handle the load.
