I wonder if there is any variance on the weight on the 42pr???or exaggerate the weight to make the power to weight look better.

Dry 10200lbs
guessing
2 dudes 400lbs
gas 200 gals 1640lbs
oil 2 motors 30qts 70lbs
drive oil 10gals 90lbs

12400lbs

Rob

don't know, but that's a lot of weight to be going 140+mph. The Skater 399 weights like 6100lb's dry with no motors and drives, add 1075's and drives thats only 9540lb's dry??

you put water in your gas tank?

i think you mean more like 6.0-6.5 than 8.3 lb/gallon i think...

which would be closer to 1200-1300 lbs.

and mike, the owner, said it was about 10k with some fuel in it... i don't know what "some" fuel means..

Did it look to anybody else that the warning lights were going off when the boat was running? Wonder what that was all about? One day I will have a boat like that but for now I will be happy with my 29

Fountain's are not known to be lightweight boats. I can see a pleasure 42 with fuel weighing 9-10k lbs.

My 38TE with fuel is around 11-12K lbs
