Digital throttle and shift

Do you feel any superiority in Mercruiser/Cummins DTS digital throttle and shift system over mechanical one in double engine sterndrive boat?

DTS is part of the Smartcraft System. It integrates the whole Boat/Engine/Gear package. My customers love the day to day operation. I can program in delays in engagement and throttle response so that in a crash stop situation the operator won't break anything in the drive line. Stern drives..... Haven't worked on any yet. All I've worked on is the ZF marine gears used behind the Cummins QSB5.9 The only thing the customers don't like about the Smartcraft system is when it has problems the user usually can't fix it themselves.:drink:
