1988 Huster Ride quality

how does a late 80's hustler 32 ride in the rough and speed compared to a fountain 10 meter? The weight of the boats seem to be around 7500 lbs

thanks

I know two people on my lake with older Hustlers and the weight was mucher higher then expected. Not sure of these old hulls hold water or what but it takes big power to make them move. One guy up here has 36(I think. may be a 34 or 38) with twin 1100's getting in the mid 60's. The good thing is it the crush the waves.

32 hustler was one of the fastest hulls

you're info is incorrect..any boat 15' larger with twin 1100's will be closer to 90-105..He must be dragging a 500 pound anchor when running.

but in the rough water who has a better ride, 33 fountain or a 32 hustler?

Jass, you do know he's talking about a 1983 10m fountain.
I know the 32 Hustler is a great boat, but is it gonna ride that much better than an older straightbottom fountain?

the 32 Hustler is an excellent rough water riding boat. My buddy had the 33 Fountain, great fast boat for that era, but I prefer the 32 Hustler for rough water. Another good boat to look at is the 32 A.T. Similiar ride, both would be my picks over just this particular 33 model Fountain.

If the Hustler has Arnesons and decent power, it's going to be tough to beat with a 33' Fountain with Bravos or TRS.

The Hustler will be more forgiving than the Fountain if you're inexperienced.

I've driven both boats and the Hustler was a little better in the rough stuff.

Which ever boat has a pad bottom is going to ride a little rougher if you know what I mean.......;)

My buddy had a 32 (late 80's) with some NA 600's and the boat ran 91mph and could cruise at 70 @ 4k. The ride quality of the 32 Hustler blew away my 30' Scarab Panther...I mean blew it away....and my Scarab had 500's and ran in the 70's...
