Overtons Stainless Biminis ?? Input?
I'm looking to add a bimini top to the Scarab so th eyoung son will be able to tak ethe sun easier when we are out on the water. Has anyone purchased a stainless / Sunbrella package fromn Overtons? Was the stainless hardware that came with the set of pretty fair quality? The pricing looks to be fair and they are on sale this week!!
Thanks for any input.

I bought something similar from west marine a few years back. It was acceptable for the money. I ended up using a track rather than a fixed point for the main frame. That way I could slide it back toward the sun deck or up toward the cockpit depending on need by chaning tension on the straps. When I laid it down I slid the end of the frame all the way forward, which let the bimini lay back behind my rear bench seat. I just made sure that the frame fit was inside the point where my windshield/fairing met my gunwales/gunnels.

I bought aluminum rear support poles and some misc. stainless hardware (pole ends, quick release bracket, etc.) from Overton's to make a cross brace for my bimini so it wouldn't sway side to side while underway. All of the parts were of high quality. I wouldn't hesitate to buy a complete bimini from them.
