Why would anyone want to change this?

hillbilly24 08-23-2008 11:08 AM

Seriously guys, the guy posted a thread about selling his boat and stepping up to something bigger. He didn't ask for advice about how to sell it or what people thought of the paint. He probably doesn't give a sh!t about who did and didn't get their Active Thunder t-shirts either. If you don't have something nice to say about the boat just STFU.

Sick Stinger 08-23-2008 11:27 AM

Or hey just get on topic and if your interested get details. If not dont waste the mans time. Everyone knows its a great boat and runs like hell. Let him move up and some one else will get a great or beyound great boat

I think it is a KILLER looking boat! Don't much care for the all the extra cabin stuff...i.e sink, water tank, counter tops, etc, but I really like the colors/graphics on this particular AT. And I love the white interior and blue accent stuff---very fresh, clean and sharp looking interior! Very well done!

Why did I have to see this? :o

Ummm, NO! And that's not because I own an AT, but because this boat turns heads just the way it is. Been there, done that. :grinser010:

Post some more pictures! I'm sure all of us would love to see more!

I think anyone seriously looking for an offshore boat in the 35' range who would consider an AT would want a SERIOUS paint job....and Remedy is all that; and then some.
I still can't believe somebody would say that 95% of buyers.....blah, blah, blah---WOW...that's it.....I'm done....sorry for the rant

KAAMA 08-24-2008 02:00 PM

Just my opinion, every boat has its own taste/personality, but the paint job on REMEDY is a whole lot better than what I constantly see on most of these mega dollar Outerlimits I see all the time. Most (not all) of the OL's paint jobs look the same....mostly their pattern/style of graphics if not the same colors---at least the ones I have seen.

Who did the paint/graphics on REMEDY anyway?

Mark, I'll bet you $1.00 that it was done right at the AT factory. Pat and his crew do some very nice work.

Been up in the sticks of Maine for the past 3 days. No computer, no cell phone, no power, no complaints.

Did have some really GOOD lobster though.

Kaaama, I designed the graphics with Chris Dilling of Graphic efx.

I appreciate the compliments. My goal was to come up with something that wasn't on every other persons boat and also to use some fresh colors.

Color choice on the paint is all me.

Steve, would you happen to know how much faster is the 33' AVH vs the conventional hull of the 32' with the same power?

Thanks. Is that from the immediate time the boat has planed off or only top end?

That's an overall average, but most specific to top end. Mid-range is too hard to nail down since so many have different notions of mid-range RPM, and prop selection can also affect this range so much.

spilman 08-26-2008 02:49 PM

Hard to believe a 32V with 525's will only do 80/81mph??
REMEDY has a top end of 92-93mph....

slboatdrinks 08-28-2008 02:52 PM

We will be on Lake Winnipesaukee for Labor Day weekend.

Demo rides anyone??????

Wow, I always thought the conventional V-hull of the 32' AT with 500hp did mid-80mph range??? I guess my hog runs pretty good for only 600hp! :D

Appreciate the compliment on the graphics. I had fun designing them.

This is not a question of depreciation, but a "matter of fact" with the state of the economy.

I am being very upfront when I say I need to move this boat fast.

The price reflects the balance of the note and I am willing to negotiate.

Very nice boat - always thought that AT built good looking boats. I think (obviously) that graphics are a matter of taste. Personally, I tend to like the more "traditional" look, especially solid color hulls and white decks. Others prefer the wild "look at me" paint jobs. I can appreciate the artistry and work it takes to design and paint some of these graphics packages, but really have no desire to have one myself.

In a similar vein, I've got a pet peeve with boat names, the manufacturer's name or logo, or similar stuff in 3 foot tall letters painted down the side. Sure, you may think "Slippery When Wet" is the most original and coolest name in the world, but a buyer may not be so keen on seeing it in 3 foot tall neon letters down the hullsides of his potential purchase...

I've venture to say the "paint it white" comment is like recommending neutral colors when you're selling a house; it increases the size of the potential buyer's pool.

All that being said, that's a gorgeous boat and good luck with the sale!

Steve,
Nice boat and good luck with the sale, BTW what speeds do you see with her?
