Very nice! Love the sound. Will be interesting to see how the 271 like the change in CG. You guys need to do a 292!

lol! I would love to but I plan to put some time on these 6.2's before any major changes. By the way, I am running the SC5000 system view monitor. Do you know if the ECM that comes with the LSM 550 will communication properly with that to display all the engine pressures and temps?

Keep us updated on your 271 project!

Will the real lightweight Champion please stand UP!!

We at Raylar are thrilled to hear that little"BAD BOY" runn'in again Alfred! Glad you've got the Imco box now so you can splash that Formula and get some testing done.

I just love to hear that engine REV! There's nothing like variable cam timing to make a marine engine perform at all RPMS!

You guys should get your LSM550 orders in before we get to backed up with orders!

There's a "Little Red ONE" about to be splashed in a beautiful vintage Cigarette installation in Miami soon!

Oh, now the fun begins!!

Best Regards,
Ray @ Raylar

What is the cost of rebuild and average time (hours) before rebuild?

As soon as I saw that write up I thought they would be an awsome alternative to bumping up my existing 7.4's to 450-500HP. Not only for weight savings but to also free up a little room in the engine compartment. However, at $26K a pop, not very realistic for me as it would cost more than my boat is worth!

If I was to order a new 28 Pantera or something like that these would be the way to go.

ttt

Good question. Ray, do you have an estimate of average hours before rebuild? Could/would you perform the refresh?

engine is now in the boat

due to the digital throttle there are no shift or throttle cables on the engine - all are installed at the transom

some more pics

we painted the engine so that it fits to the boat graphics
