I bet Dubberts will have it running as soon as the F IN adjuster says go the owner is a freind of mine, I would have been there but we had a family issue right as I was hooking up the boat. Keith wont miss a beat he has good insurance and four other boats.

can anyone tell me the purpose of the 2 holes on the back of 32's above the rubrail nears corners?

What type of fluid would you use to pickle a gasoline engine? I've heard diesel guys pickle their motors with diesel fuel or kerosene.

I have heard that if you can not get the motors up and running quickly that you can just fill them with the Diesel fuel. Even better is to just get them up and running as fast as you can. I had a snow mobile sitting on the bottom of the lake for 5 days then pulled out and sat for 2 days then started a day after that and it was fine. Just one little electrical gremlin with the lights.

Man, didn't know they sunk so easily. Was never a big fan of the twin motor 29s or the 32 as I thought they sat too low in the rear. Always described it as "looks like it is sinking." I was just talking aesthetics, didn't know there was truth to it.

The two large holes are vent's for the blower's that suck the fumes from your engine compartment prior to start up

You do run your blower's right !! :eureka:

This makes for a good argument for using Raylar's 550 HP alum SB's on a 26'-32' vee w/twin's....plus the speed and price point benefits.

I will say it again. My friend purchased a used 32 from Silver Sands Marina in Gilford, NH and brought it in for water problems and they said they couldn't find any. Then the boat went down at his dock. He had water that would come in at the rub rail in the rear. Come to find out, the boat had already gone down with the previous owner and Silver Sands never disclosed it to my friend and they did know about it. My friend made out well in the law suit.

There seem to be a lot of stories about fountains sinking at the dock. Talk about not being able to sleep you would worry every time not on a trailer or a lift. Is this a manufacturing problem a design problem or both?

Chris Sunkin 08-28-2008 11:58 AM

I'd say both. The boat doesn't have much freeboard and the integral swim platform blocks access to seal the hull/deck junction during manufacture. The Bigger Fountains can suffer from the same issues- especially the triple-engined one's. They sit very low.
