We will be out there but not participating in the activities. Actually, we will miss most of it as I am set up at Dana Point Marina for the weekend. Will probably cruise up to Long Beach on Friday, and Saturday is all day in Catalina for us.

Last year I saw a sling at the event. If not, it seems like there would be something a little closer than Orange County.

So far it looks like a good turn out. The Long Beach harbor area is great to have most any boating event. From a safety perspective it's also a great place to have a poker run because of the open water of the ocean. Often times lakes will have narrow areas and turns which can load up with packs of boats. This is where accidents have happened - as you know.

My team and I will be there...looking forward to meet up!

For those of you who are concerned about launching in salt, you can launch at the Long Beach ramp on the Queen way bay side, after you launch there is a wash rack where you can rinse your trailer and park truck and trailer for the weekend...if you wash it down right away you will be fine...salt makes trailer look like hell when you don't clean them...he who his anal about cleaning will always have a nice trailer and boat.

Drivers meeting is at 9 am-start at 10am if there is clear visibility.The hardware there is of the hook. You need to check it out.

Glad to report we had a successful event, there was big hardware that came to town and a fog delay that didn't start the run till noon Saturday, considering there have been so many unfortunate incidents at Poker Runs I thought mentioning that everyone who attended made it back safe and sound.

I did hear that somebody on Friday left HB to go to LB and ended up on the beach in SB...from what I heard the crew was fine and when the tide came in they motored off the beach.
