I am going in tonight to do an inventory review for a company I just started to manage that has been having trouble. Will be later though.

MarkSmith 09-01-2008 07:44 AM

I am at a job site right now. Trying to 'make hay when the sun shines.' I can't believe that the wife let me go. Pool party this afternoon.

isellpower 09-01-2008 07:56 AM

It's cool in Northern Canada and it's going to be hot in Cali and SW Texas, time to sell them some powah. I'll be here for 12-14 hours today.

bouyhunter 09-01-2008 09:41 AM

Actually have the day off today.
This feels strange to me.
I've been doing 12-14 hr days for the past 3 months, and haven't had a normal work day off since the Miami boat show in Feb.
Went in for a few hrs on Sat. but this still almost feels like a vacation.
Although I really do need to do some paperwork this afternoon.

Going to Trash Today.

Went to a great cookout yesterday with my family. Watched the White Sox win, but the Cubs lose. Watched Jimmie Johnson completely dominate a cup race and enjoyed seeing Kyle Busch finally not having a good handling car.

Today I will probably go over to my shop and work on the 77 vette interior for a while.

No, funny man, I bought this car with the original '77 Vette wheels and I only take them off to service the brakes or replace tires!

It's a white car with a worn-out black interior that I am changing to red. I built a 350 SBC with a healthy cam and headers and does it run sweet! I originally bought it for my wife, but she only drove it once and didn't like it.

Ah, come 'on.
It's all in fun.
I saw the shot, and had to take it.
I would expect you to do no less.

sellsman11 09-01-2008 10:52 AM

Oh no. Didn't you see my "Smiley Face"? I certainly would NOT take offense at a crack about Vette wheels.
(I know I deserve it.) I bought that '87 with those Pontiac wheels and never cared about changing them. The guy who bought the car doesn't care either, so it worked out. I sold the car so cheap, he can buy any wheels he wants.

Besides, if it had the correct wheels it would just be another '87 Vette running around. I liked the "different" status, but I never got any comments until I posted the pics on this site. I'm not a purist when it comes to cars. If I have to change engines I do it.

I do business continuity work in Florida for a nationwide company. This is my 3rd weekend in a row at work.... Gotta love hurricane season:angry-smiley-038:

You're not seriously working today, are you Frankie? Labor Day is one of the "good" days to take off in the boat biz. Always dead.

Yeah, I miss my days of self-employment.
Seems I even made better money then.
At least it seemed that way.
I'm certain the hours were much better.
