Is that the Nautical in Havasu?
|
Right in the Nautical cove.

Havasu can be a WICKED place as far as weather goes. At the 1998 IJSBA World Finals (PWC), there was a windstorm to end all windstorms ALL WEEKEND. There were 4-6' whitecaps on the lake, and I got so blinded in a sandstorm that I buried my rental car up the the doorsills in sand.
|
It seems that the Nautical cove area is prone to that kind of weather. When we were there last year for Des Storm there were problems almost everyday with beached boats banging into each other.
If they put docks in the cove it could accomodate more boats and keep them tied up safely. Just a thought. |
If I stayed there after all the destruction I have seen there on numerous occasions, I would just pull my boat out at the end of the day.
I usually stay in the south end in Havasu Springs. |

All the boats that are bashing into the backs of the boats that are beached were anchored.
