Start of the season question

I changed the oil at the end of the season when winterizing (sp). My question is should the oil be changed again at the start of the season also? The only reason I can think of to change it would be because of condinsation over the winter. Any thoughts or comments.

you can never change the oil enough, small price to pay to save the engine.

Change it every chance you get. my $.02

You should change it at the end of the season to remove the acidic byproducts of combustion that have accumulated in the crankcase oil. You do not need to change it again until your normal change interval (50hrs?). The condensation will boil off your first run that gets the new oil over 212 dgrees.

I agree with Wild, I change it in the fall and then again in the spring. Is it an overkill, probably, but for me it is cheap insurance.;)
