I have a Sony CD w/wireless remote 4 6x9's, 2 tweeters in the dash and 2 12" Subs all are Audiobahn. Its powered by a huge fan cooled Audiobahn amp. It has a real good sound and the subs hit really hard, they dont drown out everything else though. My subs are made out of aluminum instead of paper. I've been out of touch with the stereo world for about four years and this new stereo shop in town sold me on this stuff and I really like it.

Definatly go wit the Clarion Marine head unit. Not only does it sound real good but you can dump 40 gallons of water on the face and it will be ok!!!! It is the ONLY TRUE built for boats radio. They did not just paint this thing white and call it marine.

They also have a wired remote that is kick ass. You can wire two of them off it if you want and have totall control. Put the thing on the swim platform if you want it will be fine

I like the sony equipment but I sent in my dealer agreement for clarion marine. I am not happy with my sony distributor so you have to change after 18 years. I can not answer on the JBL but I will ask. Forrest
Jon I have toi tell you what I did to one of the big retailers yesterday.

OK, here is my system, 4 Kicker Marine 6 1/2 , 2 Kicker CompVR 10" 2 Punch 250 amps, and the best part, Sony CDX650 w/ changer anti skip 12 seconds. Also sony wired remote (check Pic below) I am probably going to add tweeters in a week or two and a capicitor, thats it. DONE. And yes it does pound.

you can also see one of the Kicker marine 6 1/2 in low rt corner
