As FLA resident I understand the feelings as these things bear down. One small positive thing is at least it seems to be staying relatively small , Cat 2 last time I looked, 100+ MPH wind is still no joke. Be safe.

Let's hope you are blessed! They are talking about a massive storm surge coming in...up to 25'. My house is two blocks from the beach and 18' above MSL. I'm relatively certain we would be gone if something this big was bearing down on us.

Godspeed to all down there!

Biggus did you catch that flight? If you didn't, take I10 to New Orleans. It's probly bumper to bumper like the rest, but at least you'll be headed away from the storm.

Brenda, her daughter and the dog left with me in the corporate plane that I fly in Mobile and left for Mobile last night. Been hiding the plane from all the past storms in Houston..sorta funny huh! Think that's funny listen to this.
I have a place I rent on Daulpin Is. here at the mouth of Mobile Bay. CAN"T GET TO IT!!! cause the water all along the coast the island is cut off. We were going to be in a hotel somewhere due to evacuating from Galveston Bay and Kemah area ..just didn't think it would be Mobile...it's just bad with water events everywhere...road closed between Ft. Walton and Destin, only way in is via Mid-Bay Bridge..probably not good for Waunnas Pogoda
Lifes a Johnny Cash song:
How High's The Water Momma
talked to Clark before I left and said he was going to stay.
His house is so far inland.
Guess I better try and go to AJ's this afternoon or Lulu's in Gulf Shores
