Reckless288 even Boat/US beat USAA's price and I have my two rental units, two cars and my primary home insured through them. They are great for all but boat insurance, if I remember correctly they were double what Boat/US wanted.

When I got mine new I insured it for the full sticker value of 155K, plus another 10K in stereo equip, gpsmap, accessories, and a 6K trailer, and trailering insurance. I like to be overinsured just incase I need it ever. It has Halon, and 2 extinguishers, I have no saftey course. See what they say, my deductables are % based or something I dont even know, as I've never used insurance other than to write them big checks all the time, those proof of insurance slips must be wrote on really good papar, cuz they sure are expensive!!

I sure hope that your experience in an isolated one! Knock-on-wood I have not had any problems....... Not that any one's problem with any company is excusable, it's not! Good luck, and keep us posted of the outcome....

Just proves what I wrote earlier about each getting different quotes. Last year when shopping around, which I do occasionally anyway, the best range offered was around 1300 annually. Now I've had USAA many years but long story short is I got $840 per year on my 2002 496HO 288. Compared again this winter to make sure......None either came close or wouldn't insure performance boats....
Some won't for new customers but will for long time customers who also have house & auto's onboard. Again, each person will get different qoutes. Call them all and do it annually.....
