Any of you guys see Discovery Channel and the bikes that Jesse James (sweet name) builds? WEST COAST CHOPPERS
I'd love to buy one of his bikes, buy they are a bit pricey...don't think they let you take Long Term loans out on bikes!! http://dsc.discovery.com/convergence...a/bio/bio.html |
nice just not my style.
I lie eth custom bikes and think they would be a blast to design and biuld but as for riding, i like crotch rockets. Give me an Aprillia, ducati, yamaha or honda anyday. Riding a harley was once described to me as "driving a controlled crash" Like i said teh custom bike (west coast choppers) as cool to look at and woudl be fun to biuld but i like going fast, in the turns.... But jeff that is a pretty snazzy hog :D |
V-ROD on order !!!! I might see it this time next year
|
P.S.,,,,,, Jeff that bike is absolutly georgious !!!!
|
Hey puder, than a crotch rocket must be an uncontrolled crash. I had one of the original super bikes. A 1977 KZ1000. I went without a bike for 20 years. I now have a Harley (FXSTC) and I love it. The sound, the feel, the way I sit down in it, It just blows away my old Kaw.
Awesome bike Jeff. I'm in the market to move up in boats, not bikes. |
payton if you like aperformance bikes hop on a new ducati or aprillia and tell me you think its a controlled crash.
I actually really liek eth feel of the yami r[6 its pretty light and fits lieka glove. Actually it is balance alomst too well. Within teh first 10 minutes on that bike I got super comfortable on it. Gives a serious sense of over confidence. I just can't get into riding with my legs out and forward like that. Feels liek i am diving a couch. I guess i had to many years ridign on dirt. just doens't feel safe to me with both legs forward. |
too old....
the name says it all!!!! ;) |
harleys
Ive had Hondas,Triumphs, and Nortons, but my current '71 Moto Guzzi Ambassdor gets a lot of looks. Harleys seem so common. To each,His own. I love having something rare.

Always liked the Heritage Springer and Fatboys myself.
Nothing quite like a fuel injected black Fatboy:D |
I like bikes. Got several. Got my first bike still - '72 MiniTrail, '74 XL250, '74 XR75, '86 KX250, '86 VFR750F, '99 YZF-R1.
Uncle just bought a new twincam Dyna Glide (I think that's it, NOT extended fork, NOT fuel injected). Surprised me, way nice bike. Good motor, well behaved chassis, sorry brakes. Way nicer ride than I had figured it would be. Traded in a '96 HondaShadow ACE1100 which I thought would prove to be a bettere bike thna the Harley but HD has made major improvements.. Touche' |

This is what I ride :) |
Hey Jeff... Thats a beautiful bike... But its not a Harley....;)
|
Old joke:
Q: What's the difference between a Harley-Davidson and a Hoover vacuum cleaner? A: The location of the dirt-bag... I know groan... LOL. J/K :D |
hey GRH, your right dude. My bike was built in Germany, More like an AMG 600 Mercedes compared to a Corvette.:D
|
Hey Jeff... Nice analogy .... Personally I prefer to buy American... I'd take the Vette over the Benz in a Heartbeat.....:D BTW.... Did you notice the $$'s & Vehicles GM donated to the NY 911 Fund? Did you also notice German, Japanese & Korean car manufacturers donated 0... No offense to your bike... like I said its beautiful.... but it ain't a Harley & you started your tread by asking if anyone liked Harley's...

no offense takin dud, I am part owner of the company that built it. But a corvette over an AMG 600, you need to go for a ride in one on the autobahn.:D
|
The report I read in Decembers Local Auto Dealer News was that VW, Honda, Toyota, Nissan, Hyundia announced records sales for the third quarter bbut made no contributions to the NY 911 Funds... your right about Mercedes ONLY because its a dvision of Daimler Chrysler & the American division of that company donated... No Mercedes vehicles.... Dodge, Plymouth, Chrysler....
|
Hey Seanclong, LOL about the position of the dirtbag joke. that was a good one.
|
OK... I don't post alot & haven't since the new board came up... can someone please tell me if there is a way to stop getting mail everytime someone posts to something I posted? Thanks in advance.... Jeff... I'd love a ride on the autobaun in alot of vehicles... perhaps Little E's #8....;)

I'm a Harley man all the way...
However, I have also owned several crotch rockets (way fun) My last one was a 93 ZX-11 that I totalled with 700 miles on it. Only at 75 mph. Go figure.
Anyway, I loved my 88 Springer, fork travel sucked. REALLY love my 98 Anniversary Fatboy!! Although, not enough butt time, so I am selling it. 350 miles, as it came off showroom with every available 95th accessory, all still in box. I am keeping my 1941 Indian Chief, however. Way cool bike, nothing like the old stuff, every ride is an adventure!:D |
