Dont some areas in Alaska have a huge tidal change? Something in the order of 25 or even 50 foot change? Not sure if this can be the cause or even if that area is where that happens. Even so, the Captain should know where the hell he is going. Maybe Joe Hazelwood is back at the helm!!

The boat used to be the Spirit of Nantucket, heard about those renaming curses.

Pallen's kids are out partying on the family boat again i see....

That's what I was thinking. I'm sure the ship got stuck on a sand bar and the tide went out. By the way, I love the rescue raft beached right next to it!:grinser010: |

Formerly, the Spirit of Nantucket, the Spirit of Glacier Bay is one of the newest additions to Cruise West's fleet. In 2008, it will operate exclusively in Alaska on our 3- and 4-night Glacier Bay Highlights and sandbar cruises.
The decor is sleek, stylish, and quietly elegant with light wood accents. The Observation Lounge features expansive picture windows, a lending library, plus cozy banquettes and conversation circles for getting to know your fellow travelers. Every stateroom features a wide picture window or porthole, private facilities, a writing desk and ample storage. And when it's time to go outside, guests enjoy generous outside space on the bow and aft decks. Lowest level cabins feature walk-out patios and direct access to the beach. Unlike many cruises, our Spirit of Glacier Bay is ideal for guests who have experienced vertigo on past cruises. |
I would ask for a refund of my cruise package. My reasoning would be that the 'clueless are in charge again':evilb:
