Ron....I just came back from the IBEX show in Miami.
I spoke to a marine supplier who had just finished fabricating a very special piece of equipment, for a new boat that is being readied for an attempt.

It is a real team with LOTS of experience.
I even raced against them way back in the day........so it has a good chance of happening, plus they have a certain motivation that is carrying them through the sticking points. That will help them to see this thing through.

Saw Ken Warby on TV, when he became the fastest man on water in the World. In 2007, I had the privilege to met him at the Detroit Gold Cup Race in Detroit and he was kind enough to let me have my picture taken with him. It was a real honor for me to met him in person and it was one of those special moments you have in life. Hope to met him again as he is a true gentleman and a Racing Legend.

Sorry, but it is up to them to make the announcement in the way they choose.

Charlie,
Are you talking about Al jr.'s "prop" speed record attempt iagainst Vilwocks 221mph in the 4 turbine 55 DW? or an attempt at Ken's 317.6 record.
We also plan on making an attempt on the 221 record.
