The sweet sounds of 1075's....

I got bored and ripped the audio from Fountain's website of the 42 PR running and took the best parts (without wind noise) and polished them up. Made them mp3's in case you really feel the need for ringtones... Still hope to get my recording equipment in a serious boat and try to get the sounds of big motors minus the wind noise one day. Enjoy!

ILMORdude 10-08-2008 08:54 PM

Id love to have as a ringtone.....or maybe hear it:p

nova26 10-08-2008 08:57 PM

AB From Windsor 10-08-2008 09:23 PM

I love to hear it and would be great as a dial tone.

djmadmatt 10-08-2008 09:24 PM

Did you post the mp3's anywhere?

Perlmudder 10-08-2008 09:56 PM

BAD ASS. That thing looked smooth as hell as those speeds. I'd love to end up with one of those 42-PR Editions as a 2nd boat at some point. Best Fountain ever built IMO.

My thoughts exactly....

BAJA WILL 10-09-2008 12:52 PM

Actually it was smoother than it looks on camera, my camera was a small Kodak one, not a video camera so most of the bumps you see are just my hand being knocked around by wind.

It was unreal I couldn't believe we were running those speeds and so fast also, note the acceleration from 100-135mph :ernaehrung004:

B,
What do you mean 2nd boat, you've already got 2 boats, this would be your dinner cruise boat!:drink:

Haha, I'd call it "one and a HALF" boats when reffering to the Cigarette! :drink:

Yeah, I hear ya, that's how I look @ our Seadoo sometimes, it's a 1/3 of a boat, but it's cheap to run, that's for sure.

absolutely. I just had a killer old school covered cable hoist I had redone with remote access, so the 20 Cigarette may have the coolest "warm months" storage.

B,
Good talking with you today.:drink:
Thanks,

I downloaded the MP3's into my I-tunes, the "take off" one leads immediatle into "take me home" by Phil Collins...works as a nice intro to the song.

I was flipping through an old (9/07) Hot boat with an article that compared a 42' Executioner vs. 42' Lightning. Now the Ex had a pair of 525s' so it topped out at 80 mph, which is not bad for a 42' w/1050 combined hp. Now, the Lightning had a pair of staggared 1300 Sterlings and only (I use that word loosley) did 133 mph. How different is this 42' Poker Run ed. vs. a Lightning that it can go 7 mph faster with 450 hp less? Mike

It may be the fastest V with 1075s but it's not the fastest boat with 1075s. That honor belongs to the 42-44MTIs. They run almost 155 with 1075s. In fact, CRC(42MTI) set a Kilo record of 161 with 1075s.

There was a 42' Lightning recently built that supposedly ran 139..........
