Ron....I just came back from the IBEX show in Miami.

I spoke to a marine supplier who had just finished fabricating a very special piece of equipment, for a new boat that is being readied for an attempt.

We've heard that before. Ken Warby is the man. period . 300 mph in an open cockpit strapped to a 9000hp rocket. Staring certain death in the eye ...he nails it.

I was fortunate enough to see Mr Warby take it for a ride in TN last year. I will not forget the sound of it! Like the Blue Angels landing in your pool.

Sorry, but it is up to them to make the announcement in the way they choose.

It is a real team with LOTS of experience.

I even raced against them way back in the day........so it has a good chance of happening, plus they have a certain motivation that is carrying them through the sticking points. That will help them to see this thing through.

In the speed record game that means they are either dead or the name is Warby.:eek:

Wicks and MacKnight have not made their runs yet. The most recent articles I found were from 2004 and 2003. Mr. Warby says that Wicks's three-point hydro design is not stable enough to run much over 200mph.
