Default Any thoughts on these boat kits ?

Looks like an alternative worth exploring. Ive always wanted to do a kit AC Cobra but this might do the trick.

Cool idea, but only if you had the shop, the tools, the knowhow, the TIME etc, etc.......Then Id ask, who makes these hulls? Do they have much offshore hull experience? How fast? Is the gel going to look good in 5yrs?, gaurentee? In a couple of years are you going to call them up and they say "OH, sorry , were not doing that anymore, no were not, the companys completely changed hands now".....blah, blah, blah , From what Ive seen around here you have enough trouble getting a manufacturer who sells you a complete boat to back up their ****. Dont mean to be negative but could be very cool, could be very scary......Doug

It looks like AVANTI BOATS, every model looks simuliar, just not sure on the 22, and 26, but for sur on the 39, thats why I know its Avanti. They must be marketing in a different way.

No "ands, ifs or buts" about it-- it is Avanti Boats in Palmyra, NJ. All the hulls are built by Avanti. Note the address is the same for Avanti and "boatpartsoutlet".

looks pretty good to me and the price is right. I think you need to do some investigation on the manufacturer.....but might be the ticket!

Looks very interesting. From what I've heard Avanti makes an extremely strong boat. Looks like you could get into a new 33 for about half the average MSRP. Of course you would be useing a lot of your own sweat equity.

At least Dennis at Avanti is doing something right. Selling just the hulls and letting someone else rig the boat. If you buy a complete boat from him, you end up having to re-rig it anyway. Now you can save a lot of time and money and do it right the first time.

Thumbs up

They are definetly Avanti's, I know because I called Avanti about a year ago to find out the price on hull only and they directed me to that web page.

If you looking for a hull only to rig and don't want to spend too much $$$ on a new hull but want something decent. Let me know
we have a couple of local builders here in Miami that make
decent offshore hulls in the 24ft range and are not as expensive.
But still as strong and good looking. Let me know and I can get you some pics and information.

P.S. - Or call Jo from Pantera, I'm sure he can also make you a great deal on a 24 or 28 hull only build.
