Default Rings fall off-a bad thing?

Wow man, when you take pistons out and the rings fall off, is this a bad thing? I thought maybe they were a new kinda trick triple-gap design or something.

Ya, ya must have those new self-gapping rings for multiple heat ranges. Just replace them in reverse order that they "fell" off. No Problemo!

Oh those things are just for packaging purposes......they are designed to keep the dirt out of those grooves. Just wipe the groves clean and replace the thingy that goes up and down

i heard with those multi piece rings you are supposed to run with no oil, the the gaps in the rings lets the gas vapors flow into the block and that takes care of lubrication instead....

I thought this was a thread about wedding rings and the LOTO trip.

Cool

CRAZYHORSE did you pull WATERFOULS bottom end apart. TOO TIGHT OF END GAP CAN CAUSE THE RINGS TO BREAK
