Because it was NOT allowed in F2 class!
I had the first canopied race boat back in 1986 (28' pantera)
I raced it in the old B class back in the mid 80's
Now you know the rest of the story.............

We know the side by side, pleasure, 525 36 will do 90+.......the engine room of the orange and silver one was set up for a full staggard. What will a staggard 525 36 do? How about a staggard 700 nxt?

Yes, for Super V you have to have a canopy.

Next year (2009) OSS will adopt the P1 (European racing) where you have the SuperV (Evolution) and the Super Sport which is very similar to the old F2 APBA rules, open cockpit, side by side engines etc.

I think that is great!
Next year the same boat could race Europe and the US, therefore having a real "World Champ" that is really great!!!

Now IF we could find a sponsor for the black 35' race boat, we will be there, the black boat is extremely competitive, and not necessarely because Jo is my son, He is a great aggressive racer and only races to WIN.
You can ask anybody that has raced against him and they will tell you.

What u think ?
And then race it in P-3 against FRANK .LOL
To convert it to stagger set up, can be done, but it would be a big job! However the port motor could be set forward leaving the 32" between the props, that is easy.

The boat can race P3 as it is now, and could be very competitive in the class w/ 525 EFI's, now, Frank is a proven winner and past champ in P3!!! So it would be a great race.
