My 28AT had it on it when I took ownership; so I don'tknow what the handling was like w/o it. My top speed is only 72 so it is o.k. I did have to rebuild my gimbals last yr @ 375 hrs.
What are you running? How fast? I will be doing full Hydraulic soon...and possibly then I will add some power. |

I intalled them on my boat and I would do it again!

I had them on my old boat a 22 scarab. They did help and are better than nothing. In my opinion you would be better to save up and go with a full hydraulic set up. Once you have a boat with full hydraulic steering you never want to drive one with out it.

I've been searching off and on for something like this but never came up with anything. I think if my boat don't sell by mid winter I may order me a set too.

800 seems a bit steep...
id like a set for my 28ss but not for that much... at 500 price point i think they would move more what r they exactly? shock absorbers/dampers? |
from the looks of them they are basically a shock absorber with equal compression and rebound dampening.

If they cost that much I would definitely save for the full hyd sys.
